Career Action Plan Meeting

Feeling stuck, lost, worried - even panicked about your career?

It's pretty common these days. Good jobs are hard to find. So what do you do to get your career on track, or keep it there?
Our 90-minute Career Action Plan meeting zeroes in on YOUR career issues. We’ll look at where you are, where you’d like to be (as best you know), and what’s in the way. Based on our years of experience, our current research from today’s job market, and best practices, we’ll determine what you’re doing right and what needs attention. Then we’ll put together a plan for you to move forward. We can do this in person if you’re in the Chicago area, or by phone, if that’s more convenient. Call 847-673-0339—or submit your contact information below, and we’ll contact you.

Often, this one meeting is all people need—as was the case with these two men:

Dear Steve and Jack,
Thanks so much for the Career Action Plan Meeting three
months ago. As you may remember, I came to you expecting
tips on getting hired faster. My wife was on my case, and sent
me to see you. I expected to hear, “Your resume stinks and you don’t make
any sense when you speak.” Instead, I got some shocking feedback. You
said my job campaign was going very well, EXCEPT—I was going after
the wrong job. What? You said I should go into sales. I was stunned. I’ve
been an administrative guy.
I want you to know that even though I didn’t come back to see you again,
I did take your message to heart. You were absolutely right. I was in the
wrong profession. I’d been successful enough, but clearly, it’s not where
I belong. Sales? Yes! Absolutely! That’s who I am! That is exactly where
I belong! I made a course correction, and continued doing the things you
said I was doing well to find work. I’m now working as a sales rep for a
company that sells medical equipment—and loving it. Thanks for your
time and advice.

Dear Steve and Jack,
I met with you to get help finding my career direction. I was
working too many hours for too little money as a restaurant
manager, and not seeing enough of my family. I want to thank
you for all the great advice you gave. Even though we didn’t end up
spending more time together, I took your advice and found a great job with
a hospitality company where I’m a recruiter for managers and chefs.
This is exactly what you guys said would be good for me. I can make my
own hours and work from home. It’s absolutely wonderful. My wife and I
are both very happy. You helped change my life and I can't thank you
enough.
